Striker Billy Clarke looks set to keep his place in the Town starting line-up when the Blues take on Preston North End at Portman Road on Saturday. Jim Magilton is expected to return to the 4-4-2 formation which has seen Town win their last seven home games.

Town picked up their second away point of the season after a 2-2 draw at Burnley. The Blues were two up through Sylvain Legwinski and Alan Lee inside eight minutes, but Burnley hit back with a goal in each half, while Town were denied a penalty and had a late goal harshly disallowed.

Full-back David Wright is expected to return to the Town side at Burnley on Tuesday as the Blues continue to chase their first away win of the season. Wright returns after an infected blister on a heel, while manager Jim Magilton has vowed to make other changes to his side.
